One cannot use a brand of fabric that is copyright protected to make items to sell either. For example, if Disney caught you selling stuff with Pooh Bear copyrighted fabric they may sue. There are plenty of fabrics that aren't copyright protected though. I belong to a doll yahoo group and boy those ladies sure did have a lot to say about it when the same subject came up. As part of it, I'd like to collect common opinions on this. So, please tell me what you think! For example, Are garments protected by copyright? Are garment patterns? Can you copy a garment that you bought? Can you then sell that garment? Can you sell a garment that you made from a pattern? What if you made changes to the pattern? What do you think *should* be protected? I'm just looking for your thoughts and opinions, so don't feel the need to answer every little thing. And feel free to PM me with your response as well.
