I just finished this, and couldn't resist the urge to show off! I'm making paw gloves and slipper feet for it, but just now all I have finished is the head and tail. Take a look!

Um... I AM a furry. Read my profile.

And I do not have sex dressed as an animal. Most of us don't. But the media would rather do specials on the perverts than talk to those of us who are more or less normal.

Don't believe everything you see on TV.

Oh there are tons are articles about furry. Some are actually honest, some are very biased. *shrugs* I'm not offended. I just don't like the automatic assumption that furry = something sexual. It doesn't, so I do my best to dispell the notion that all furries are "furverts" Probably around 5-10% of furry is into the fursuit sex thing. The rest of us have other reasons for our interest in it.

The actual definition of furry is a person who identifies him or herself as having some kind of animal trait, or animal totem, spirit guide, etc. Alternately, a furry is a fan of anthropomorphic animal art. (Anthropomorphic meaning "having human charactteristics.") Bugs Bunny, for example, is anthropomorphic animal art. So maybe you're a furry too. *grins*

Furverts- oh god, that's so fantastic!
I'm co-opting that word and saving it to use on those really hairy, scary men you meet in clubs- you now the ones who open with Heeeeeeeellllllo Ladies. Shudder.
            I love new words! Thanks.

Love the pile that was used for hte head and the tail. I would love to know the length of the pile. NFT fur is very cool and soft but breaks the bank. Anyhow, good form and nice 3D eyes. IMHO, it is great to see someone who is breaking the mold of some of the recent fursuits that seem to be using the same book on how to make it.

    Great job!

It's a 3 inch pile. NFT is really totally unneccessary for most projects. People often overestimate the fur length they need. You might think you need a five or six inch pile fur in order to look really long, but fur that long just reads as hair, not fur. Three inches is usually more than long enough for anything.

the big blue wolf is awesome! i was the mascot for my high school....the wolves! my suit wasn't nearly as nice as this one!!

varaform plastic, btw, is really great. i've used it for years, starting back when i was doing theatrical props in LA. they called it "friendly plastic" back then. it's really easy to use and good in so many applications!

The eyes are actually pretty easy. Ever seen those plastic globe christmas ornaments that come apart into two halves? That's what the dome is, which gives it the 3-d look and the shine. The iris is painted white buckram fabric. That's pretty much it.
