Folks in the DIY tribe suggested I ask this question here:

I have a t-shirt with a company logo on the front and a quote on the back. I want to remove the company logo. Is there a good way to do this without destroying the shirt or discoloring the rest of the item?

give it to me and I'll wash it in the BF's aggressive washing machine! It has (in)conveniently removed some beautiful silkscreens from a few of my favorite shirts! grrrrrrrrrr!

I replied to your post in DIY.

Once the ink is screened and heat set it will not come off.
The ink bonds into the cotton fibers of a shirt.

You are better off to print over it.
