CRAFT EXCHANGE

Anybody want to do an exchange? It's been a while since I've been on tribe and I really miss the exchanges. I'm willing to do all the behind the scenes work if there are at least 10 people who want to sign up.

HOW IT WORKS:
You send me your: Name, Address, Phone # (optional) + let me know a few of the crafty things you make/like.
When I have at least 10 people's info I will throw everyone's name in a hat and send the info to the partners.
Then you make something (under $10 cost) and send it out to your trade partner and wait for them to send you something.
When you get your wicked crafty item in the mail you can take a pic and post for all to see or just give praises to your partner for their wicked talent.

Anybody want to join?

        I've been a lurker for a couple years but I'd like to participate. The only craft I do regularly now is leatherwork. I do many others but I have decided to focus on this one to improve my skills.

        That is definitely one of the rules. If you join please do so with the commitment that you will follow through. Of course there is always the chance of something coming up which is beyond your control. If something does come up it helps just to drop a line.

        Please message me your info Copper so I can add you to my list.

        The deadline for sign-up will be the end of this month.

    It's so much fun to get a hand crafted item in the mail.
    It's fun to make something for someone.
    You look at their profile and get to know them better.

    I encourage you to participate as it is a joy to be a part of a crafty exchange.

    I sent my address, but forgot to send info on what I make. I'm a mad crocheter and I love to sew, especially in felt, since it's so easy to make nifty things from it. I also make jewelry although it might be out of that $10 range. I have a link to my blog (which in turn links to my flickr and to my etsy and to my....) with a few pics of stuff I do.

    I like things that are neat.

      Thank you all for joining! There is still one more day left to join. I will be sending out info to the partners on August 1st. I figure I would make this one easy and just partner everyone off instead of having you send to and receive from different people. It makes it easier to keep track this way too.

          Even though it's technically August 1st. I'll wait until later today to send partner info.

          Remember: The theme is Autumn.

          I was thinking that a month is probably enough time so the deadline to have your crafty item sent out is September 1st.

          Dose anyone think we'll need longer?

            My August is terribly, I would really appreciate bumping this to a month and a half if not two months. Normally, I am cool with a month or two weeks but there isn't a part of my august in my planner without ink on it. If it is just me though I can work it out with my partner instead :)

              I think extra time isn't a problem. Let's say 6 weeks then. So mid September.... September 16th.

              Is that cool with everybody.

              Even I get bogged down sometimes. I forgot to send out the partner info yesterday. Well I'm here now and the info is in the mail (PM).

      Still looking for a message on a partner, when you get a minute to do that, Tessa. I'm kind of happy to have a couple extra weeks. Would like to know the partner though so I can review their profile and think of something fun to do.

      Just got home from burning man and woodstock film festival and there was a package from my partner. WOW, I love the things that were made for me. I'm mailing mine today and I'm so sorry that I was away during the final days of the exchange. I thought of mailing it while on the road but when I went looking for my items, I realized that in the flurry to pack, I left the gifts at home. So off to the mailbox now.

      Thanks so much for the exchange, Tessah and I hope my partner and her daughters like what I have made for them.

      I'm in for Hallowe'en, if you're setting that up.

    Well,did everyone get their exchange?

    I mailed mine a week ago Monday, and haven't heard anything about whether its been received or not.
    And I still haven't gotten mine either, I don't know if my partner was the one who I sent to or not.
    This will make the SECOND trade,in a row! that I sent and didn't receive mine; nor have I gotten an email about it.

    VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

      I haven't heard from my person either...but I did get some very nice earrings..but I will take a chance on the Halloween exchange..It does take the excitement out of the trade not to know if your present was received or liked..
