If you have any interest in blogs, join livejournal and search for crochet communities. There are a lot of teens and college girls really into knitting and crochet right now, and they will post some very cool things and ideas occationally.

shoot i forget the magazine title, (Crochet world?) but I found table cloths and curtains in some of them. I have made 2 table cloths. 1 for my mom when i was uhmm 19 and the 2nd i gave to my ex mom in law 6 years ago. to say the truth, they do make quite a statement. My mom still brings it out hers during the holidays. The curtains didn't quite come out as i'd liked... a bit too small and they shrink a bit after washing.

I've bought plenty of used books from Amazon and they have almost always been in excellent condition. You can always check in your public library to see if they have some good crochet books.
