Question:
I've been silk screening for about 6 months. When I emulsion a screen, I only emulsion the print side (back), but I've seen people emulsion both sides.
What is the recommended way?

Re: Photo Emulsion Question -- Silk Screening
Wed, July 9, 2008 - 2:22 PMHow long and at what distance do you burn the screen for?
Right now, I do about a foot away for 10 minutes using 2 photo bulbs. -

Re: Photo Emulsion Question -- Silk Screening
Wed, July 9, 2008 - 8:19 PMdepending on how strong your bulbs are, depends on how long you burn the screens.
as well as how far away you are. If you burn too long you can loose fine details, obviously not long enough then the image goes away.
250 watt halogens work well.
250 watts x 2 bulbs = 10 min -
Play with the distance a bit.
