resin guages and plugs..

topic posted Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:42 AM by  kate
Hey there, I really want to make some sprinkle plugs using casting resin. I am concerned because I don't know if resin is still a skin irritant after it dries. Assuming that it is, what could I put over the casted resin that would keep it off of the skin, but still let it be seen? Clear nail polish? Is there a less "chemically" substance that would do the same thing?

Thanks in advance!

i've been using resin and haven't seen or heard of any problems. a good friend of mines daughter has eczema/sensitive skin and i made her some resin jewelry. as far as i know, it hasn't caused any problems; she hasn't said anything to me. ")

a good waxing/buffing is supposed to be a great way to seal it, and make it glossy.....
